Biographical Sketch:
I was a journalist, conducting investigative reporting for newspapers and radio for 9 years (1975 through 1984).
I was managing editor of medical publications for 4 years (1984 through 1988).
I was a health communications specialist and editor at CDC for 18 years (1988 through 2006).
I have been a health education specialist at CDC for 3 years (2006 to the present).
Over the past 21 years while working at the CDC, I have authored and edited books, journal articles, Web pages, health promotion materials, and evaluation materials related to environmental health, injury, chronic diseases, and infectious diseases.
