Biographical Sketch:
January 2007 to Present Director California Immunization Coalition (CIC) Responsible for maintaining an awareness of strategic issues and trends in health issues related to the mission of CIC, sustain relationships with relevant coalitions, public-private partnerships and community initiatives. Coordinates planning, implementation and evaluation of Coalition programs and projects. Conducts and directs research and policy analysis and prepare reports on selected policy issues. Works with individuals, public health groups and local coalitions to promote and carry out program objectives. Identifies opportunities to expand CIC network by increasing visibility through state and national networks. April 2001 to December 2006 Program Manager, Childhood Immunization Registry Partnership San Joaquin Valley Health Consortium Directed registry marketing, recruitment and training activities in three Counties and served as consultant to regional registry. Managed program budget, subcontracts and reports. Recruited over 200 providers to participate in regional registry including four hospital systems, three WIC sites and eleven school districts. Developed community and provider education strategies to promote childhood immunizations and support of immunization registries. August 1998 to April 2001 Health Education Specialist, Immunization Program Fresno County Department of Community Health Media spokesperson for the Immunization and Nursing Outreach Programs. Coordinated and facilitated professional and community education programs and conferences. Chair of the Influenza Pandemic Planning Committee. Member of county department website development team.
