The role of logistical analysis and simulation in the evaluation and improvement of healthcare processes is often unfamiliar to healthcare officials and healthcare personnel. In this case, the usage of simulation has turned out to be of tremendous help in visualizing and optimizing a mass-vaccination plan for the city of Louisville Kentucky. The project has not only turned out to be of great value to the population of the city of Louisville, but also as an eye-opener regarding the many uses the field of industrial engineering can be in assisting with improvements in healthcare and public health processes. This project demonstrates the ease with which operational research can be used and implemented.
