Biographical Sketch:
As Special Projects Manager for Public Health’s Promotions and Public Information Team, Steve is responsible for and oversees the strategic planning, development, implementation of agency-wide marketing, outreach and public information programs including the oversight of agency web site, social network development, all media relations, special events, overall agency communications and community relations development. These efforts are designed to safeguard and improve community health by communicating and achieving high visibility and prominence of Public Health’s services and goals. Steve is a product of Kern County’s local education system and has over 30 years experience in government communication which includes award-winning marketing, public information and outreach/in-reach projects. He has utilized his skills in a wide variety of local, regional, state, national and international events, projects and crisis settings. He has been asked to present and share his experiences at many regional, state and national conferences
