Biographical Sketch:
Emily is a CDC fellow assigned to Kaiser Permanente Colorado's Institute for Health Research where she works on the Vaccine Safety Data project with a focus on parental vaccine hesitancy. She is presenting at the 2010 APHA on provider attitudes and experiences with parental vaccine refusal. She also has worked with Denver Public Health on Denver's In School Immunization Program since Novermber 2009. Before her field placement, she worked at the CDC with the Sustainable Management Development Program and the Public Health Law office. Emily also worked with the International AIDS Trust as well as the Rwanda Zambia HIV Research Group in Atlanta and in Kigali, Rwanda. She was introduces to public health while working on state funded Cancer research programs with the Georgia Cancer Coalition. Emily has a Masters of Public Health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University as well as a Bachelors of Science from Georgia State University.
