Deputy Immunization Program Manager
AK Department of Health & Social Services, Division of Epidemiology
Functions/Duties: Assist with all aspects of Immunization Program management, including day-to-day oversight of Program operations. Assists with administrative activities to ensure Program compliance with state and federal fiscal administrative policies. Provides programmatic support for school and childcare staff. Serves as the Project Manager for implementation of VacTrAK (Alaska’s Immunization Information System) and AK Stars (disease surveillance system). Provides programmatic oversight of perinatal hepatitis B program. Coordinates with the Epidemiology Team to assure appropriate surveillance and follow-up of reported vaccine-preventable diseases. Provides statewide medical consultation to medical providers and the general public.
