Biographical Sketch:
•Assess needs related to immunization practices and provide appropriate instruction and enforcement leading to effective and efficient clinical operations by doctors to community residents.
•Develop, coordinate and implement a “Train-the-Trainer” program for use in managed care, public/private provider offices, non-profit offices and schools to educate staff on immunization best practices.
•Provide nursing consultation to public and private sectors and individuals seeking information.
•Assess educational needs for medical assistants and provide educational in-services/classes as they relate to immunization standards and administration.
•Development of immunization education training that targets health care providers to ensure immunization coverage levels are maintained at an adequate level.
•Develop provider orientation curriculum to educate potential providers on evidence-based immunization practices.
•Provide 4-hour training module (Immunization Skills Institute) for MAs, nurses, pharmacists, and doctors on correct vaccine administration, competency and consistent training information.
