Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Humiston is a Pediatrician in Emergency Medical Services at Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City, Missouri. From 1997 to 2000 Dr. Humiston served in the Training Education Branch of CDC’s National Immunization Program. Other than these years, from 1988 to 2010 she did immunization-related health services research at University of Rochester Medical Center. She has been a member of the National Vaccine Advisory Committee (NVAC), including service as Chair of NVAC’s Subcommittee on Communication and Public Engagement. She recently represented the American Academy of Pediatric’s Council on School Health at the meeting on school-located influenza vaccination co-sponsored by ASTHO, NACCHO, and NASN.
