Biographical Sketch:
Ms. Roth has worked in public health for 20 years. Since 2001, she has been at the California Department of Public Health, Immunization Branch leading various statewide communications and social marketing campaigns aimed at preventing vaccine-preventable diseases. She has written multiple award-winning education materials. Ms Roth served as the Immunization Branch lead on smallpox risk communications activities and co-wrote the California State Smallpox Communications Plan. In partnership with the statewide California Immunization Coalition, she is heading up the award-winning website project, ShotbyShot.org. In addition to immunizations, Ms. Roth has worked with such issues as cancer, AIDS, women’s health, and mental health.
