Biographical Sketch:
1984-2008 -- State Epidemiologist, CT Department of Public Health, Hartford, CT Oversaw all infectious disease surveillance and control programs including Immunizations and the Emerging Infections Program. Helped implement a statewide immunization registry and participated in two vaccine effectiveness studies using the registry (PCV7 and rotavirus). 2008-present -- Senior medical epidemiologist, Yale and CT Emerging Infections Programs, New Haven, CT. Participate in a variety of EI surveillance efforts including those related to vaccine-preventable diseases such as rotavirus, influenza and human papillomavirus. 2008-present -- Public Health Consultant, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Provide scientific consultation to the Commissioner and senior staff. Oversaw a household transmission study of H1N1 and initiated the study of H1N1 vaccine effectiveness that is being submitted to the NIC
