Biographical Sketch:
Alisa Blum joined the staff of NACCHO in 2009 as Program Manager, Media and Public Relations. In this role, she is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic communications program, responding to opportunities for press outreach and events, and providing technical assistance and resources to local health departments and their public information officers. Ms. Blum is also involved in marketing and public health branding efforts. Prior to joining NACCHO, Ms. Blum organized and executed strategic advocacy campaigns and mobilized local elected officials at the National League of Cities. She directed a national communications and outreach program for a federal benefits program at the Internal Revenue Service She served on the committee staff of Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus. Prior to her work in public policy, Ms. Blum worked in the advertising profession creating advertising campaigns for some of the world’s largest brands.
