Biographical Sketch:
As CHILD Profile Health Promotion Operations Manager, Denise Farrand oversees operations of the system which generates age-specific health education mailings to 86% of Washington parents of children between birth and age 6. The mailings remind parents of immunizations and well-child visits, and provide information on growth and development, safety, nutrition, and other topics. In her 8+ years with CHILD Profile, the program has received numerous professional endorsements, and two national health education awards.
Ms. Farrand holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and a Masters in Public Administration. She previously worked in the Washington State legislature and held leadership positions in the non-profit sector. She is skilled in developing collaborative partnerships, strategic planning, program evaluation, and personnel management. She is the parent of two young children.
