Biographical Sketch:
Started career with the Department of Health in 1998. Currently holds the position as Director for the Division of Immunizations. In this position am responsible for the oversight of staff responsible for vaccine preventable diseases to include reporting and investigation recommendations and follow-up activities for the entire state as well as the PA Vaccines for Children program. Has been a poster presenter and speaker at National, state, and local conferences I have worked in all aspects of immunizations starting my career in immunizations as a staff nurse at a private provider office responsible for Vaccine for Children ordering, temperature logs and quarterly reports to the Department of Health, then transitioned over to Department of Health where I staffed local state health center immunization clinics while serving as the Northcentral District Immunization Consultant covering twelve counties in that District. From there I took a position at Central Office, Division of Immunization where I was the Statewide Vaccine Preventable Disease Nursing Consultant for Infant and Childhood Diseases. I consulted with department of health staff, public and private providers, school nurses and child care facilities as well as the general public. In a year and a half of serving in this capacity I was promoted to Section manager where I supervised five staff in the Program Operations Section of the Division of Immunizations. I served in that role for a year and half until I was again promoted to the Division Director position which is responsible for the overall daily operations of the entire twenty people Division staff.
