Biographical Sketch:
Carol Schechter is an AED vice president and the director of AED’s Center for Health Communication. She brings over thirty years of experience to her work in health communication, behavioral science, and social marketing. She currently leads a team of forty seasoned professionals from the fields of public health, consumer marketing, media, and public relations to address some of today’s most pressing health issues. Her current projects address a wide range of issues, including childhood obesity prevention, immunization, nutrition and physical exercise, injury prevention, infertility prevention, healthcare access and quality, and clinical trials recruitment. Clients include Centers for Disease Control and Prevention the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and the National Institute on Aging.
