Current: Director of Communications, Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research 2007-2008: Senior Communications Specialist, Institute for Health Policy, University of Texas School of Public Health, Houston, TX. 2006-2007: Account Supervisor, Healthcare Practice, GCI Group, New York, NY. 2005-2006: Manager of Medical and Scientific Communication, American Cancer Society National Home Office, Atlanta, GA. Develop and execute strategic communications plan. Secure placements among top-tier print, broadcast and online national and international outlets; arrange and prepare faculty for media interviews via message development and media training; monitor news cycle to identify and capitalize upon additional media and advocacy opportunities; execute press events and briefings and coordinate logistics with local and national partners. Author on numerous scientific and lay consumer publications and professional presentations.
