Biographical Sketch:
Nedra Kline Weinreich, the president and founder of Weinreich Communications, has established herself as an expert in the fields of social marketing and social media. She is the author of the widely used book "Hands-On Social Marketing: A Step-by-Step Guide" (Sage Publications, 2nd Ed. forthcoming) and publishes social marketing’s top-ranked blog "Spare Change." She has particular expertise in research and evaluation, and has worked on issues such as HIV/AIDS, unintended pregnancy prevention, education reform, tobacco prevention, human trafficking and pollution prevention. She is on staff at the Entertainment Industries Council, where she works with the entertainment industry and news media for accurate portrayals of mental health issues. As a lecturer at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Public Health, Ms. Weinreich teaches a graduate-level course on social marketing. . She is the founder of Social Marketing University, and has trained professionals around the world in how to create social marketing programs for their own organizations. Since 1995, she has provided consultation regarding social marketing and social media to numerous federal, state and local agencies and nonprofits.
