B2: B-2 Moving Beyond Pregnancy: Strategies for Impacting Interconceptional Services | |||
Four very different approaches to impact interconceptional health services will be presented and discussed. They are: utilization of a quality improvement initiative o optimize the delivery and utilization of postpartum care; using pediatric encounters which are organized around a group care model (Centering Parenting) to reach mothers with interconceptional messages and education; extension of a program serving pregnant women with substance abuse problems into the first year following pregnancy and a public-private partnership to impact the content of preconceptional and interconceptional services particularly around the care of women with chronic diseases . | |||
