B6: B-6 Data to action -- Evidence from community and clinical settings

This session will examine a number of promising preconception and interconception programs in community and clinical settings that are focusing on the promotion of healthy pregnancies. A range of programs are presented, including those focusing on preconception health in general to those that target high risk subgroups, i.e., women who have already had an adverse pregancy outcome (intraconception care to prevent neural tube defects) and women with behavioral indicators of high risk status. The session discussion will be centered on the common features of these successful programs and their adaptation to other settings and to a broader array of preconception care topics.
