| This session will provide an update of the twin epidemic of diabetes and obesity. Preconception Care of diabetic women at Kaiser Permanente, Northern California presents results of a study evaluating preconception care and pregnancy outcomes of diabetic women will be presented. The California Diabetes and Pregnancy Program is a retrospective review of data collected during 2001 and 2006 on preconception care. And, Preconception and Interconception Health in patients with diabetes, presents rsults of a chronic condition management approach to improve women’s health. | |||
