E6: E-6 Panel discussion: Partnership, Leadership and Commitment: The Preconception Care Council of California | |||
| This session will highlight the Preconception Care Council of California which held its first meeting in May 2006. The Council was formed out of visionary leadership, strong partnership and shared commitment. Practical tools used in establishing the Council will be shared as well as the current status of the three issue-specific workgroups (Clinical/Research; Public Health/Consumer; and Finance/Policy). Exemplary California programs that are implementing preconception care will be touched on. Finally, the panel of Council Executive Committee members will share their perspectives and dialogue with the audience regarding the Council’s success to date and what the future holds. | |||
