Biographical Sketch:
New York State Department of Health, Bureau of HIV/AIDS Epidemiology, Albany, NY. 7/1990 – Present • Acting Core Surveillance Coordinator (7/10 – 2/11) Responsible for collection of data on HIV infected persons in New York State. • Program Manager, Enhanced Perinatal Surveillance Program (1/03 – Present) Responsible for collection and analysis of data on all HIV exposed newborns in NYS. Coordinate and oversee the merging of data from various sources on HIV positive women giving birth and their infants. Generate results for use in research reports, grant applications, evaluation of programs/policy and published articles. Develop, write and present oral and written presentations of the data. Work to integrate data into policy by representing program on workgroup responsible for assessing/managing perinatal transmission issues. • Data Coordinator, HIV Serosurveillance of Childbearing Women (7/90-Present). Maintain and manage HIV data generated from the Newborn Screening Program. Analyze the four million record database utilizing birth cohort techniques, linear and logistic regression, and categorical data analysis. Generate results for use in research reports, grant applications, evaluation of programs/policy and published articles.
