Biographical Sketch:
Kayumba Kizito comes from Medical background and had different practical trainings in Information technology. With 8 years working experience, he has extensive experience in managing partnerships and programs liaising with government, NGOs, private sector, community-based organizations, and civil societies.
2009 – Present: TRACnet Project Director, Voxiva SRL, Kigali, Rwanda.
-Coordinated the design of several technology modules in TRACnet system including VCT Module, PMTCT Module, ART Module. Headed all the activities towards the technology solution implementation: Need assessments, Elaboration of the Requirement specification documents, technology development, Quality assurance, User Acceptance testing sessions, deployment in production, training of trainers, trainings for the national roll-out
-Conceived and coordinated implementation of PCR module in TRACnet system
-Coordinated the elaboration of grant proposals, Annual workplans, Annual and program reports and chaired TRACnet governance meetings
-Managed subcontracts and coordinated sub grantees and stakeholders for TRACnet project implementation
-Initiated the trainings for TRACnet data analysis and use to produce abstracts and publications using TRACnet data.
2007 - 2009: Medical doctor Supervisor and Pediatric program officer in TRAC plus, Kigali, Rwanda
-Authored the Rwandan Score for TB diagnosis in HIV infected children in collaboration with the Rwandan pediatric society
-Coordinated the 4th annual pediatric conference in collaboration with CNLS and UNICEF
-Directed the mentoriship program in TRAC plus to improve the quality of care to the persons living with HIV/AIDS.
-Numerous presentations at scientific meetings : Represented TRAC Plus and made oral and poster presentations in 5 international conferences namely
•the 15th ICASA(International conference for AIDS and STIs in Africa) at Dakar, Senegal in December 2008
•the 26th Annual Meeting of the European society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) in Graz, Austria, in may 2008,
•the ANECCA forum(African Network for the Care of Children infected and Affected by HIV/AIDS) in Kampala, Uganda in march 2008
•the RIATT Conference(Regional Inter-Agency Task Team) for the care of children infected and Affected by HIV/AIDS in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania in October,2008
•the 5th World congress of the World Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (WSPID) in Bangkok (Thailand) in November 2007.
