Biographical Sketch:
Al Shiferaw, is the Health Management Information Director at JSI MEASURE Evaluation/Health Management Information System Project in Ethiopia since August 2009. He also holds similar position for the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT also in Ethiopia where he leads the IT projects in support of the country health logistics system. He has been in that position since October 2007 where has had designed, and oversaw the development of multiple health system applications currently in place and in use at over 125 Health Centers and Hospitals around the country. With the country telecommunication infrastructure improving, so as mobile coverage at most cities and even regional towns and the prospect for development of mobile application have become a possibility. This abstract is a result of a pilot study of such one application that was designed for use by Senior Health Managers in Ethiopia.
