Biographical Sketch:
2010-present -- Postdoctoral Clinical Informatics Fellow, National Institutes of Health, National Library of Medicine, Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications, Bethesda, MD
One area of focus is working on a national effort to standardize newborn screening orders, results and short- and long-term follow-up using standards such as HL7 and LOINC.
Primary author and presenter at the 2010 American Medical Informatics Association Annual Symposium of a paper on "Standardizing Newborn Screening Results for Health Information Exchange."
Participating in multiple committees and workgroups related to information technology and pediatrics, including the federal workgroup for the Children’s Model EHR format as well as the Health Information Technology Workgroup for the Secretary’s Advisory Committee for Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children.
2005-present -- Pediatrician, Primary Pediatrics, Laurel, MD
Staff pediatrician; helped the practice facilitate the transition to an electronic health record system.
