Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Alessandro Campione has served as a PEPFAR /CDC-funded technical advisor to the Ministry of Health in Mozambique since 2007. From 2002–2006 he served a similar role as senior public health expert for the Italian Government (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) supporting the Mozambican National Health Information Systems Department. From 1991–2002 he worked as medical doctor in various roles in public health systems and as an NGO country representative in India, Chile, Brazil, Angola, Namibia, Ethiopia and Afghanistan. His work focuses on health informatics and he serves as a primary mentor and program manager for the informatics fellows of the M-OASIS project in Mozambique.
