Biographical Sketch:
Ms. Jennifer McGehee holds a Master of Science in Computer Science, as well as a Master of Arts in Medical Anthropology. She is a graduate of CDC’s two-year Public Health Informatics Fellowship Program (PHIFP) during which she was assigned to the CDC Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Program (BPRP) (2002-2004). Her current role in the Public Health Informatics and Technology Program Office (PHITPO) includes providing public health informatics expertise across multiple activities, such as Laboratory Response Network (LRN) data exchange, the Public Health Laboratory Interoperability Project (PHLIP), the Public Health Laboratory Interoperability Solutions and Solution Architecture (PHLISSA), and the Laboratory Technical Implementation Assistance for Public Health (LTIAPH). She has served on national-level teams in support of CDC laboratory and preparedness initiatives, including the IT subcommittee of the Integrated Consortium of Laboratory Networks, the BioWatch IT working group, and the informatics committee of the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL).
