Biographical Sketch:
Joe Lombardo has been a principal investigator and program manager for several medical and public health informatics initiatves over the past 20 years. He is the principal investigator for the ESSENCE project, assembled a text book on disease surveillance, an instructor in the informatics program at the Johns Hopkins University, and is currently on the Board of Directors for the International Society for Disease Surveillance.
