Biographical Sketch:
Experience with integrating complex enterprise architectures and with designing high performance data integration solutions extends throughout Timothy Ellis' productive 21-year IT career. Mr. Ellis is currently the senior architect for new HealthSIS implementations. In 2001-02, he led the system development of the University of Louisville Health Data Research System project, a HIPAA-compliant, longitudinal clinical data research repository capable of real-time data surveillance. Mr. Ellis also supported the design of message repositories, data warehouses, and data loading operations for the initial iteration of the CDC BioSense project from 2003-04 that collected daily batches of health data from DoD, VA, BioWatch, and LabCorp. Mr. Ellis has been providing clinical systems expertise for over seventeen years, including enhancing the VenTouch® distributed clinical information system, a pioneer EHR, between 1994 and 2000. Additionally, Mr. Ellis has been a key member for the Public Health Surveillance portion of the EPA's WaterSecurity Initiative pilot in Cincinnati since 2005.
