Biographical Sketch:
Nina Jolani joined the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) in January 2010 as an intern for the Public Health Informatics program, soon after she was promoted to program assistant. Nina is in charge of the ph informatics communication tasks; website, toolkit, e-newsletter, listserv, etc. Nina’s interest is mobile health applications and social media for public health. Prior to joining NACCHO, Nina worked as the international and corporate team intern at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research (GQRR). At GQRR she assisted with research, monitored news relevant to clients, and helped with various communication and preparation tasks. During the summer of 2008, Nina interned with the American Diabetes Association, Federal Affairs and Advocacy department. Nina helped with lobbying efforts on several priority issues for the Association including reauthorization of the Special Diabetes Program, the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act and funding for diabetes research, treatment and prevention. In May 2009, Nina earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science & International Studies from the University of Dayton.
