2010 – present Research Scientist III – Health Informatics, UPHN Program Manager, New York State Department of Health, Bureau of HEALTHCOM Systems Management, Menands, NY 2006 -2008 Research Scientist III – Epidemiology, New York State Department of Health, Center for Community Health, Albany, NY 2001 – 2006 Research Scientist I & II – Epidemiology, New York State Department of Health, Center for Environmental Health, Troy, NY 1999 -2001 Epidemiologist, CDC, Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion, Atlanta, GA Responsible for Universal Public Health Node program management, implementation and evaluation for health information exchange Implemented data collection for mandated infection control reporting in all New York State hospitals including serving as enrollment coordinator and data manager for the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) for nearly 200 NYS hospitals. (2006-2008) Experienced in public speaking and educational presentations to both community groups and to peers at national conferences. Project coordinator for the National Surveillance System for Health Care Workers (NaSH). Compiled and analyzed nationwide data concerning health care worker exposures to bloodborne pathogens and infectious disease transmission. Author or coauthor of 15 publications/abstracts/presentations relating to infection control or environmental or occupational public health.
