As senior developer on the CDC EHR management team, established requirements, designed, and implemented EHR systems solutions working collaboratively with the Zambia MOH, for use in the SmartCare national system, including modules for: Role Based Security, Labor and Delivery, Postnatal, Record of Birth, Report of Death, and others; supervised and instructed developers working at the MOH and with other partners.
With support from National Cancer Institute of NIH, completed Master’s thesis on “Computational Biology Approach to Model Protein-DNA Interactions of TGF-β/SMAD Pathway Target Promoters”
Applied statistical, data mining techniques and comparative genomics for transcription factor binding site identification and developed models to classify genes
Worked on computationally differentiating normal tissue and ovarian cancer tissue expression data from DNA microarray and ChIP-chip experiments
Developed software to characterize Functional Hierarchy of genes from Gene Ontology and Annotation
Developed software modules and Implemented regression testing for the Supply Chain Planner product suite in Perl and C++
Software development in assembly for Global Positioning System Interface
Implemented Menu-driven interface for Digital Potentiometer in C Programming Language
