Biographical Sketch:
Directs the strategic planning, development, and implementation of the Institute’s training program. Serves as liaison and key spokesperson to various committees and organizations. Responds to inquiries and assists in promoting the training program. Assists with strategy development and the management of daily operations. Collaborates with representatives from private, government and partner agencies. Conducts collaborative investigation and designs new initiatives. in conference • Assesses training needs and develops curriculum and training courses to meet those needs. • Translates Institute principles, methodologies and public health informatics best practices into training courses and/or materials appropriate for a variety of audiences including public health leaders, program managers, legislators, physicians, etc. • Participates in and is responsible for the development of instructional materials. • Plans, develops and conducts training sessions in traditional face-to-face format as well as web-based and other electronic environments. • Serves as liaison with outside agencies in the development of instructional materials. • Researches and develops case studies based on real public health event for delivery using computer and distance learning technologies. • Works in collaboration with multimedia developers to develop training materials. • Supervises teams in the development and implementation of training courses.
