Responsible for overseeing all aspects of informatics project management for the technical assistance team that is tasked with achieving the objectives of the Public Health Laboratory Interoperability Project (PHLIP) for Electronic Laboratory Surveillance Messaging for Influenza.
Promoted effective laboratory data messaging in standardized HL7 formats using SNOMED and LOINC terminology to fulfill the nation’s needs for surveillance, response, and surge capacity in the public health domain.
Successfully facilitated the implementation of novel approaches to electronic data messaging and exchange relevant to infectious disease surveillance in numerous State Public Health Laboratories.
