Biographical Sketch:
Ann Scales has been director of communications at the Boston Public Health Commission since April 2007. She established the agency’s social and digital media presence and led its rebranding, including the creation of a new logo and tagline. Prior to joining the Commission, Ann was a reporter and editor at The Boston Globe; she spent more than a decade there covering national politics and the White House, and later editing the features section. Ann also has been a reporter at the Dallas Morning News, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the now-defunct St. Louis Globe-Democrat, and the Belleville News-Democrat.
