Biographical Sketch:
Mr. Wolkon has worked for CDC since 1999. In 2001 he joined the Malaria Branch where he has extensive experience leading, advising, and supporting field-based mobile data collection activities. He has trained diverse groups inside and outside of CDC including Universities, Ministries of Health, and non-governmental organizations in preparation, programming, and use of PDAs for mobile data collection. As an innovator, he collaborated in the development of CDC GPS Sample, a field-based probability sampling program. He continues to work primarily in sub-Saharan Africa supporting large-scale cross-sectional malaria surveys in more than 20 countries.
