Biographical Sketch:
Heather L. Vahdat, MPH, has over ten years of experience in biological, clinical, and public health research. Her specific areas of research experience include: uterine fibroids, non-surgical sterilization, emergency contraception, contraceptive efficacy, and adherence to antiretroviral therapy in developing countries. Ms. Vahdat serves as one of the key scientists involved in developing FHI 360’s Mobile4RH text messaging program, including conceptualization and implementation of strategies to utilize text messaging for promotion of contraceptive use, uptake, and continuation. She also serves as Project Manager for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-funded Sino-implant (II) initiative. Ms. Vahdat received her Masters of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
