Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Rod Fontecilla is a Partner and Vice President with Unisys Federal Systems and oversees the company’s application modernization team supporting all federal government clients. Prior to joining Unisys, Dr. Fontecilla was the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at Sevatec, Inc.. In this capacity, Dr. Fontecilla was responsible for providing leadership, coordination, and oversight on IT solutions and emerging technologies. He has more than 25 years of professional experience delivering mission critical IT solutions to the federal government and has expertise in Cloud Computing, Web 2.0 Social Networks, Enterprise Architecture, Data Analytics, SOA-based solutions, and IT Governance. Dr. Fontecilla earned his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Rice University and has served as an assistant professor in the computer science department at the University of Maryland.
