This session describes the evolution and impact of training programs in two low resource countries that were created to address the lack of strong programming capacity, and the lack of understanding of health informatics among software developers and related professionals. The presenters will then describe the challenges and successes they have had in implementing new medical informatics systems and enhancing existing systems for monitoring and evaluation. Both presenters will discuss their countries’ respective e-Health plans.
