Synopsis

Oregon has developed a Northwest Regional PHIN-MS hub concept.

• Describe the goals of the Regional Northwest PHIN Messaging Hub

• Extend and Pilot Oregon's PHIN messaging for Northwest Region

• Collaborate with regional and state partners and form a regional PHIN architectural forum

• Explore the regional roles, tools, processes and challenges

• Determine the most realistic architectural plan for a northwest regional PHIN-MS hub.

Abstract

Oregon is working to determine the most realistic architectural plan for a Northwest regional PHIN-MS hub.

• Determine the most realistic architectural plan for a northwest regional PHINMS hub.

• Develop task force - this will include Oregon architect, security officer, state data center liaison, system analysts, as well as their counterparts from the partners.

• Dependencies include CDC funding, regional states participation. 

• Establish a Northwest PHIN Messaging Hub discussion folder on CDC site, for task force discussions and document sharing.

• Collaborate with regional and state partners and form a regional PHIN architectural forum

• Explore the regional roles, tools, processes and challenges

We will most likely not finish this project by the time of the PHIN Conference.   We plan to share lessons learned and get feedback from PHIN community.
