Biographical Sketch:
December 2002 - present--Infection Control/Viral Epidemiologist, Utah Department of Health, Division of Epidemiology and Laboratory Services, Salt Lake City, UT · Provide epidemiologic consultation and conduct and/or assist with disease interviews and outbreak investigations in hospitals, nursing homes, and day-care facilities. · Provide technical expertise to local health departments, physicians, laboratories, and the public regarding the prevention of nosocomial infections and occupational health July 2005--Consultant, World Health Organization, Vientiane, Lao PDR. · Worked as part of a Task Force Group Subcommittee reviewing existing Expanded Program for Immunizations (EPI) data systems, which comprised 14 forms for immunization reporting coverage, vaccine stock, cold chain inventory, and supervision and monitoring February – April 2004--Consultant, World Health Organization, Manila, Republic of the Philippines. · Provided technical assistance for the 2004 Follow-up Measles Elimination Campaign (“Ligtas Tigdas” 2004) in the Philippines. · Assisted country supervisor in developing a draft and outline for evaluation of vaccine preventable disease (VPD) surveillance and EPI recording and reporting that will be used by an expert technical working group (TWG), national epidemiological surveillance staff and future short term consultants
