Biographical Sketch:
Austin Kreisler is an HL7 Messaging Specialist for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Currently he is assigned to CDC’s National Center for Public Health Informatics Division for Informatics Shared Services as a Lead HL7 Message Specialist developing PHIN HL7 message specifications. As an active member of HL7 Mr. Kreisler serves as the co-chair of the HL7 Laboratory Working Group leading development of the next generation of laboratory messages using HL7 Version 3.0. Mr. Kreisler also serves as a co-chair of the HL7 Domain Experts Steering Division and an alternate representative to the Hl7 Technical Steering Committee. He has over 15 years of experience working in the laboratory and clinical interface arena as interface support engineer interface software developer interface software designer and finally as an HL7 standards developer.
