Biographical Sketch:
Bill Brand is Deputy Director of the Center for Health Informatics at the Minnesota Department of Health, responsible for implementing the Public Health Information Network and supporting implementation of the statewide Minnesota e-Health Initiative. Previously, he served for eight years as the Immunization Registry Coordinator for Minnesota, directing the creation of a statewide population-based registry to capture all pediatric and adult immunization data. Mr. Brand has a Master of Public Health degree in Community Health Education from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Bill was a founding member of the American Immunization Registry Association (AIRA), and served as its President during 2004-2005. He has worked closely with CDC’s National Immunization Program to advance the quality, reach and effectiveness of immunization registries nationwide. He is a frequent speaker at national conferences and meetings.
