Biographical Sketch:
Practicing Pediatrician and Internist with Board Certifications from: American Board of Pediatrics, 2000, 2008 American Board of Internal Medicine, 2000 Masters degree in biomedical informatics. Professional Experience 2004-Present -- Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Hospitalist, Division of Inpatient Medicine, Primary Children's Medical Center University of Utah School of Medicine 2002-Present -- Fellow, Institute for Healthcare Delivery Research, Intermountain Healthcare, Salt Lake City, UT 2001-2002 Utah Lead for RODS Implementation for the 2002 WInter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City Developer of Utah's Germ Watch application (2003-Present) Author or coauthor of 15 publications and book chapters primarily relating to public health surveillance systems and the health care burden of common infectious diseases. Numerous presentations at scientific meetings. Recipient of several grant awards as principal investigator or co-investigator for research relating to public health informatics including co-investigator in Utah's Center of Excellence.
