Biographical Sketch:
Gail Scogin serves as Information / Data Architect at the CDC National Center for Public Health Informatics in the Division of Emergency Preparedness and Response. In addition to addressing current and future data requirements for division surveillance systems, she is the CDC lead for the Countermeasure Inventory Tracking program. Her previous experience includes the management and evaluation of information resources within the ATSDR Division of Health Assessment and Consultation. She developed agency data collection systems for performance reporting of significant public health impacts, and collaborated on the development of a prototype national exposure database. In addition, as business steward for the Toxicological Profile and Health Assessment Toolkit (TOPHAT), Ms. Scogin served as the liaison between users, developers, and data managers in utilizing and enhancing TOPHAT components. Prior to that, she managed the regional development and implementation of the first U.S. EPA multi-user, LAN-based project management database.
