Biographical Sketch:
2003-present-- Coordinator, Communicable Disease Reporting and Surveillance System (CDRSS) and NEDSS Lead, State of New Jersey, Division of Epidemiology, Environmental and Occupational Health, Communicable Disease Service, Trenton, NJ Responsible for system roll out and training and support of several thousand end users for electronic reporting for New Jersey (2003 to present) Responsible for data reconciliation with CDC for MMWR official counts for NJ (2003 to present) Co-author of articles in the NJ Medicine Journal “Communicable-Disease Surveillance in New Jersey” (2004) and CDC’s MMWR “Progress in Improving State and Local Disease Surveillance – United States, 2000-2005.” (2005) Joint Recipient, State of New Jersey 2007 Teamwork/Partnership Achievement Award, Communicable Disease Reporting and Surveillance System Team, Department of Health and Senior Services. Joint recipient, letter of commendation from Senior Advisor Claire Broome, Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Service, CDC, for an “outstanding job” delivering an enhanced electronic disease surveillance system and on-the-ground leadership in collaboration/partnership with the OITS Program Manager, September 2005. Multiple presentations at the PHIN 2005, 2006 & 2007 Annual Conferences on training users, migrating data, analyzing visualizing and reporting data, early event detection, outbreak management, converting from case- to patient-centric systems, and improving reporting capabilities in a PHIN-compliant electronic reporting system.
