Biographical Sketch:
I have been working with the UDOH/Utah State-Wide Immunization Information Systems (USIIS) Program since 1996. At that time, the Utah State registry was still near its beginning stages. From the start I was involved with the technical tasks of USIIS. Initially I was involved as a technical support role, involved with the installation, training, and support of USIIS applications. I was promoted in 1998, expanding my responsibilities to include some of the programming projects within USIIS. Again, in 2000, I was promoted to do full time programming and Database Administration for USIIS. Finally, in the spring of 2003, I was promoted to the technical manager position within USIIS. These past 12 years have been an incredible learning experience for me. They have given me a very valuable hands on understanding of the many levels within the technical arena USIIS lives in and a strong general knowledge of all the areas an immunization registry encompasses.
