Biographical Sketch:
Tom Brinks works as a Sr. Project Manager for SAIC. He has over 30 years IT experience, 13 as a project manager, the last four at the CDC. He has managed NCPHI’s PHIN-MS development team for the past 2.5 years. His prior project was for the CDC’s Director’s Emergency Operations Center.
He became PMP certified in 2001, recently received an Advanced Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. He co-founded the PMI Atlanta chapter’s mentoring program, was its Program Director for three years, has spoken at PMI conferences, and has taught seminars in Project Management. He participated in PMI’s Work Breakdown Structure Practice Standard Update. He has trained, mentored, and championed PM methods throughout many organizations. He is married and lives in Decatur, GA with his wife and 10-year-old daughter.
