Biographical Sketch:
2000-present -- Research Scientist, New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Healthcom Network Systems Management, Albany, NY 1999-2000 -- Research Fellow, Intitute of Health and the Environment, University at Albany, Albany, NY Responsible for coordination of informatics activities in the CDC HIE Project for Accelerating State-wide Public Health Situational Awareness in New York, and technical architecture and standards development for Universal Public Health Node (2007 - present). Responsible for development and implementation of New York State Hospital Bed and Resources Availability System(2007 - present). Lead Research Scientist for NYS Health Commerce System Data Analysis and Visualization (2004 - present). Responsible for design, development and implementation of NYS Environmental Public Health Tracking Network (2002-present). Responsible for design, development and implementation of NYS Public Health Preparedness GIS system (2002-present). Author or coauthor of publications and book chapters primarily relating to public health informatics, GIS, computer modeling of adverse health effects and geographical distribution of environmental contaminants. Numerous presentations at scientific meetings.
