1999 – 2001: Research Assistant and Graduate Assistant on Public Health GIS Web-based World Bank and United Nations Projects at the University of Iowa
1999-2001: GIS Lab Technician at the University of Iowa
2000 –2001: Iowa Geologic Survey Bureau Watershed Mapping Project
2001 – 2003: GIS Technical Manager, Division of Biostatistics, PHSIS, DHEC, Columbia, SC
2003 – 2006: Informatics Section Manager, Division of Biostatistics and Health GIS, PHSIS, DHEC, Columbia, SC
2006 – Present: Director, Division of Public Health Informatics, PHSIS, DHEC, Columbia, SC
Project manager and technical lead for a variety of public health projects and systems ranging from Vital Records to Emergency Response. Responsible for providing assistance on the technical aspects of integrating GIS into many agency systems. Acting agency PHIN Coordinator.
Received numerous awards and contributed to many publications and gave many local, state, national, and international presentation related to Public Health GIS and Public Health Informatics.
Participation in the HL7 Vital Records workgroup and other HL7 related activities.
