Biographical Sketch:
1994-present -- Director of Statistical Unit, Division of Epidemiology in the New York State Department of Health.
Oversees the design, development, implementation, and quality assurance of Electronic Clinical Laboratory Reporting System (ECLRS), Communicable Disease Electronic Surveillance System (CDESS), and Electronic Syndromic Surveillance System. Conducted various research projects related to infectious disease epidemiology, published over 20 manuscripts in peer review journals, and presented in numerous national conferences. Serves as a team member in the National PHIN Requirements workgroup and Confidential Morbidity Report (CMR) workgroup. Participates in the Department Public Health Preparedness Informatics team Health Information Exchange team, serves as division technical coordinator, and coordinates the division local area network.
